Nationality
The applicant for admission should be a Resident / Non Resident Indian National. Foreign students need not write VTUEEE 2010.
Age
Candidates who have not completed 21 years of age as on 1st July 2010 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC),
Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Challenged (PC) candidates, upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years. Date of birth as recorded
in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate only will be taken as authentic
A relaxation upto six months may be granted by the management in specific cases.
Qualifying Examination
Candidates appearing for the VTUEEE 2010 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2010, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:
The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by any State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi); The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi) or.
Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University. or
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or equivalent. ;and
Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Academic or Vocational Education stream alone are eligible to apply.
Eligibility Criteria in the qualifying examination:
A pass in +2 (or its equivalent).
Candidates other than belonging to OC and admitted with the advantage available to other than OC communities shall produce satisfactory documents and evidence in proof thereof and they shall be entirely liable for the consequences of false claims which may include termination of their studies.
Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura have to produce CERTIFICATES TO PROVE NATIVITY.
These documents should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in April/May 2010 may also appear in VTUEEE 2010 for consideration of provisional admission.
In case the marks statement is not produced by the candidates at the time of admission, the decision of the Management regarding his/her eligibility and admission to the programme shall be final.
Subject Combinations Required
Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech. as per the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) shall be Physics & Chemistry with Mathematics for all programmes
Part Time B.Tech Programme offered in Academic Stream
Eligibility Conditions such as class, marks, number of attempts shall be as prescribed by the regulations of the University from time to time.
Shall have been employed foe at least 3(three) years after qualifying for the diploma.
Notwithstanding the qualifying examination the candidate might have passed he/she have a minimum level of proficiency in mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and the relevant branch of study as may be prescribed by the University.
