The responsibility of an educational institution does not end with making student a graduate but creating an opportunity for him/her to become a professional. The Chairman, Vel Shri. Dr. R. Rangarajan showed immense importance to ensure that all students leave the campus with a job in hand. Placement drive starts off once the students enter their pre-final year. The University achieves mammoth task of being the best in the industry to our placement drive. It has several clearly focused strategies to further substantially increase the count. 92% placement has been achieved this year. Free summer training camps with the support of corporates are organized annually. We are planning to train 40 students in a class in the 3rd semester in the forthcoming academics.

      The placement team takes a special initiative in imbibing “confidence” and “the feel good factor” to candidates, motivating them through pep talks to boost their morale in facing campus interviews and removing fear from their mind as the team feels that everyone knows every thing but only requires reminders.

      VEL TECH has emerged as the nodal centre for a recruitment drive for cluster of educational institutions located in this part of the State.

      As many as 87,149 students of various institutions appeared for online testing, interviews and tests.

      TCS and CTS have accredited VEL TECH for campus selection.

     We have started operating placement offices in tier I and tier II cities across India such as Coimbatore, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad, to facilitate students from different parts of the country who form the alumni under our website www.veltechengg.com and for students who are currently pursuing their degree with us. About 150 students are now across the globe pursuing higher studies.

 At VEL TECH, placement is not an annual event. It is a daily affair. 188 Companies conducted their campus selection process in 227 days during 2007- 08.
