LIBRARY TIMING AND WORKING DAYS:

   Library remains open from Monday-Saturday 8.00 AM to 8.00 PM and Sunday 8.00AM-5.00 PM without out any break on all the working days excluding Government Holidays.

LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP:

   All UG Students, Faculty, System Analysts, Lab Assistants and Senior Administrative Staff are the members of the U.G.library.

ISSUE OF BOOKS:

    (a) Each student will be issued 4-Library Tickets. Each Staff will be issued 5-Library Ticket which are not
      transferable. And each university Gold Medalholder will be issued extra 2-Special Library Tickets.

    (b) One Book may be borrowed against one Ticket at any given time.

    (c) Dictionaries, Reference Books, Dissertation, Periodicals and News Papers will not be lent out.

    (d) Books will be issued against Library Tickets and students will have to produce their Identity Cards, if required.

    (e) Books issued may normally be retained for a period of 15 days for Students and One month for Staff.

    (f) In case when the borrower wishes to extend the date of return of a book, it may be extended for not more
       than fifteen days, provided that no one else has reserved the book.

    (g) In all such cases of extension, the book must be physically brought to the library for the revised due date to be
       stamped on the date slip.

NOT – RETURN OF BOOKS ON TIME:

    When books are not returned on or before the due date, double the cost of the book will be debited

MISHANDLING/LOSS OF BOOKS:

    Members are expected to handle the books with proper care. If the books are damaged,mutilated or lost the member shall replace the books or pay the double the cost of the books.

BOROWER’S RESPONSIBILITY:

    (a) It shall be the responsibility of the borrowers to verify that all the pages in the books are intact and none of them is defaced, torn or missing.

    (b) If at the time of returning the books,in his found to have missing pages or torn or defaced the borrower will be
       responsible for all defects/deficiencies

    (c) The responsibility of the up keep of the book lies with the member on whose name the ticket was issued.

MISSING OF LIBRARY TICKET:

    In case of loss Library Ticket(s), the loss should be immediately reported to the Librarian for duplicate ticket.


GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

    (a) Sign in the Gate Register.

    (b) STRICT SILENCE should be observed and decorum maintained inside the library.

    (c) MARKING, UNDERLINING, WRITING EXPLANATION, etc, in Library Books are strictly prohibited. Stern action
        will be taken against these and any others kind of improper use of books.

    (d) Leave your belonging outside the library.

    (e) Personal Books are not allowed inside the library.

    (f) Reservations of books are not allowed.
